TI’s MathForward™ program utilizes a combination of professional development, curriculum enhancement and technology to engage students and teachers, assess understanding and promote learning. The program’s technology toolbox consists of TI graphing calculators plus companion technology for classroom collaboration and formative assessment – all proven* to increase a student’s learning and understanding of mathematics.

"Students in the TI MathForward Program will learn more math, will be more successful in the classroom – and will be able to see their success immediately."
Professional Development
The program’s professional development components are designed to increase teaching effectiveness and prepare teams of teachers within the district to carry on the training of colleagues, creating systematic change. The MathForward program achieves these by (a) providing coaching and content knowledge to teachers, (b) assisting teachers to effectively utilize the expanded class time – daily 100-minute “power block” (c) establishing a common planning time.
Curriculum Enhancement
Many schools want to build on their existing investments in curriculum, and technology. Adopting the TI MathForward program does not require a school to change its core curriculum; it instead works by augmenting and intensifying the existing curriculum. Further, schools want a program that helps all students learn more, not just students targeted for intervention. Through ongoing formative assessment, the program enables a teacher to understand the different learning needs of each student at any point and adjust instruction to ensure they can all succeed.
Technology
